Anyone can easily play by simply connecting it to a television. It's a music game where the image of a ball falling on the screen bounces off the drum body, and you have to hit with a yellow bachi. The main game has 11 original songs of different genres such as wadaiko, pop music, rock, samba, enka, ethnic, etc. The game also has keysounds depending on the song, which changes when you hit the drums depending on the choice of music. Some are japanese taiko drums, snare drums, ethnic drums etc. Using the device is easy, when you turn on the power, all menus and operations can be selected by hitting the drum with the bachi.

Practice mode allows even first time players to enjoy the game with peace of mind, and it is content that can be enjoyed from beginners to senior citizens. You can also use the game cartridge 'dream' which was released on September 29th 2003, to increase the number of songs, so you can enjoy the game for longer without getting bored. Taiko de Popira can be enjoyed regardless of age, gender or status, with the fun of the feeling and the rhythm of hitting the taiko drum according to the music, and the ease of playing just by connecting it to the tv, using a composite video cable.
